Midrange Deadly Imps Highest Rank (Only 1 Super Rare, 1 Legendary)

I easily achieved rank 50 with this deck and got 100 stars more in about 3-4 weeks of from time to time play. I started building it around such an amazing card as Toxic Waste Imp. Before I got higher than level 30 I had almost no losses with only having 4 of those in the list combined with other common and uncommon imps. Depending on the opponent’s strategy the deck can close the game pretty quickly (my personal record is turn 3) or try to win on turns 6-10 (or even 11 or 12 sometimes =). On one hand you can try to flood the board with imps using some of their synergetic powers (drawing cards, deadly ability) and antihero ability. But fast imps plan hardly suffers from heavy control decks. So this deck on the other hand has Smelly Zombie and Barrel Roller Zombie to help you to beat higher power creatures and get into midrange play if all your imps got killed. With control players you should play card for card trying to overpower them eventually with Imp’s commander helping you to have more or equal cards in hand. Damage spells are used mostly to destroy plants (the best is when you clear the way for your attacks) and sometimes in the very very end to the face after all possible opponent’s blocks to finish the game (Chickening is only for crearures though). Dont forget that Barrel Roller Zombie leaves 2 imps after dying which can also be deadly or draw you a card. Warlus Rider, Valkyrie and Zombot Sharktronic Sub help to close the game after turn 5 if your imps didnt succed to get there). Good Luck!

ps. I think that 1 Warlus Rider should be chaged for Zombot Sharktronic Sub and do that after get it. Sub in play + Chickening is just too nice! I have tried the deck with 2 Valkyries and it seemed not enough fast creatures for that but 1 is just amazing! I think more aggressive style of plan can involve 2nd Valkyrie and 4th Stealthy Imp. Also Imp Throwing Garghantuar is a nice possible opiton especially for the beginners who dont have many rares.

    I have all the cards except zombot’s wrath, is it important in this deck? Can you explain about how you play the deck? What do you want to see in your starting hand? If you get the chance to do mini ninja+smoke bomb/plumber will you do it? A detailed guide would be appreciated. Thanks

      Zombot’s Wrath is good in the deck but it can be replaced with 3rd Chickening and 2nd Fishy Imp. Zombots Wrath is used to deal more than 2 damage when its important and it’s not rare in the deck when it deals 6. The strategy usually depends on who is the opponent. Actually recently after I added 2nd Shark Sub to the deck 3rd Chickening appeared to be quite nice.
      The card this deck always looks for is Toxic waste Imp. Mini Ninja (Never played on turn 1!!!) + Trick is usually kept but if you also dont have Toxic Waste Imp in the strating hand it might be mulliganed. You dont want to play Mini Ninja against removal loaded decks (Sunflower Control, Freeze Rose) bc it gets killed in most cases and doenst give any value. You can play it to outrace an aggro deck especially if you have Super Stench (Never waste it to draw a card!) go give it deadly in case of a bigger blocking plant. The best hand to play Mini ninja is: Toxic Waste Imp go give Mini Ninja deadly in the later game, Mini Ninja, Plumber/Smokebomb, One more Imp or Smellie Zombie.

    I started playing the deck with 4 Chickenings and ended up playing 2 than I tried 4 Zombot’s Wraths and also reduced by 2 later. It feels like 2 copies of both is fine bc we are trying to be effective in midgame againast different strategies and wish to have all possible options of disruption. There are some grindy games where you need a lot of zombies to get through opponent’s removal spells. In such games you dont want topdecking chickening when you both are low on cards and need little more gas for the finish. You can definitely try 4th Stealthy Imp or 2nd Fishy Imp which will make your deck little faster. But 4 Stealthy probably require more Smoke Bombs.

    ill try this deck because I’ve been losing to it a lot recently
    however i do not have shark sub….
    so do you know a good replacement? (i would add +1 chickening)

      Imp-Throwing Gargantuar might also be a nice option besides to my reply above. I started playing with 3 of them. They throw imps)
