What moron thought Briar Rose would be balanced at four sun? Its a Lawnmower that works anywhere and places a decent body on the field. And as long as it stays active, any flower you touch is an instant death spike. You literally have to run Sneaky Heroes to make an even trade, and since Sneaky has always been meta, it causes even more overcentralization than it already has. Landscaper/Total Eclipse combos will remove this card, but it comes with card disadvantage. Five sun would make this more fair, especially since Solar has ramping cards. But then Wall Knight mains bribe EA with loads of cash that they need for their next sets of cards. And guess what? Briar Rose doesn’t get nerfed. I wanna shoot Wall Knight in the face. Hail Zomboss.

I completely agree. Forget removal….all you need is Solar Winds-Briar Rose. Lil Buddy being a flower makes things even worse. Barely see big cards except Octo and Nurse these days because of it.

This card is actually a good deterrent for bonus attacks and HP boosts if you get enough flowers on the field. The meta is infested with Tricksters, and anything that can calm them down without making them dirt will be a solid addition to the game. Briar Rose has the potential to be one, but PopCap needs to make more cheap flowers like Lily of the Valley and Blooming Heart to make this card a more consistent option. Even if you have a bunch of flowers, this card actually dies fairly easily because 4 HP isn’t much for 6 sun. It still has uses, but buffing it to a 3/5 is a future possibility. On the bright side, this will not die to Rocket or Weed Spray. TLDR, this card can be good, but it is a bit conditional and every cheap flower released is a blessing to this card.
